Online posting policy

Oxford County welcomes comments and questions from the community through its online forums, including social media and Speak Up, Oxford! However, the following types of comments will be removed and/or will not be answered.

1. Posts that contain personal, confidential or protected information as defined by federal and provincial privacy legislation. Oxford County protects the privacy of its clients and employees online.
2. Content that promotes hate or illegal activity, or that is not consistent with the principles of the Ontario Human Rights Code.
3. Incorrect or misleading information about Oxford County programs and services.
4. “Trolling,” or the practice of using inflammatory, deceptive or off-topic messages to start an argument.
5. Comments using language intended to be aggressive, intimidating, threatening and/or insulting.
6. Posts that contain violence, profanity or social behaviour not suited to a general audience.
7. Spam, or bulk messages and unsolicited promotions, requests or calls for products or services. 

Please note that social media channels and Speak Up, Oxford! are monitored during regular business hours only. We receive a high volume of queries but attempt to answer questions as quickly as possible.
