June 11, 2025

No matter where you live in Oxford County, the 2026 Budget survey is your chance to have a say on which services should be a priority in the coming budget year.

Information collected from the budget survey will help provide a better understanding of how well municipal services are understood, how they are valued, and which ones are a priority for residents. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It closes on August 29, 2025.

Residents who live in Blandford-Blenheim, Norwich, South-West Oxford, Tillsonburg and Zorra will be asked about local area municipal services, such as fire services, building and drainage services, parks and recreation, by-law enforcement and more.

Residents from all eight of Oxford’s municipalities will be asked about services provided by Oxford County, such as roads and bridges, waste management, long-term care at Woodingford Lodge, paramedic services, human (social) services, water and wastewater, community planning and others.

About municipal taxes

If you own a residential property in Oxford County, you pay municipal property taxes. The amount collected is based on the value of your property as assessed by MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation). Your municipal taxes are made up of three parts:

  • the amount paid to your local area municipality
  • the amount paid to Oxford County
  • the amount paid to your designated local school board as set by the Government of Ontario

This survey focuses on services funded through your municipal taxes (i.e., it does not include federal, provincial or education taxes).
