  • More than 500 comments and suggestions were received through 1,009 responses to the online public survey.
  • Of those who responded, 68% said they receive "fair" or "good" value for their tax dollars.
  • The majority of respondents felt that each of the services should be at least maintained at the current service levels.

2024 Budget survey

No matter where you live in Oxford County, the 2024 Budget survey is your chance to have a say on which services should be a priority in the coming budget year.

The survey takes only 5-10 minutes to complete. Information collected from the budget survey will help provide a better understanding of how well municipal services are understood, how they are valued, and which ones are a priority for residents.

Each municipality receives its own survey results to inform its budget planning process.

The 2024 Budget survey closes on August 31, 2023

Other ways to have a say

Feedback from the community helps municipalities understand what's important to residents now as well as what is needed for the future as communities grow. In addition to the survey, you can give feedback by:

  • using the comment card below to send in your comments or questions; or,
  • directly contacting the staff representative for your local municipality from the list on the right.

A note about municipal taxes

If you own a residential property in Oxford County, you pay municipal property taxes. The amount collected is based on the value of your property as assessed by MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation). Your municipal taxes are made up of three parts:

  • the amount paid to your local area municipality
  • the amount paid to Oxford County
  • the amount paid to your designated local school board as set by the Government of Ontario

This survey focuses on services funded through your local municipal taxes (i.e., it does not include federal, provincial or education taxes).
