SURVEY NOW CLOSED

Oxford County and Safe and Well Oxford are sponsoring the Canadian Index of Wellbeing survey to help support the highest possible quality of life for Oxford County residents.

The survey is open to every Oxford County resident aged 16 years or older. By taking part, you’ll have a chance to win one of 10 gift certificates to a local business valued at $100 each. The closing date for this survey was extended to June 30, 2025.

About the survey

Oxford County's Canadian Index of Wellbeing survey will be used to help identify the priority areas in the next Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and to to measure progress on Oxford County’s Strategic Plan. More broadly, the Canadian Index of Wellbeing helps policymakers (e.g., governments) make decisions for everyday Canadians.

The survey gathers information on the eight domains that the Canadian Index of Wellbeing has identified as critical to overall wellbeing: community vitality, healthy populations, democratic engagement, the environment, leisure and culture, education, living standards, and time use. The questionnaire takes about 30 minutes to complete, and will offer a comprehensive look at all aspects of wellbeing for residents living in Oxford County.

The results from Oxford's Canadian Index of Wellbeing survey will be shared in the fall of 2025.



About the Canadian Index of Wellbeing

The Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW) survey is a national index, calculated by the University of Waterloo, that measures the overall wellbeing of a community. Oxford County is undertaking the Canadian Index of Wellbeing survey for the second time since 2016.

The survey measures living standards, health, environmental sustainability, community vitality, education, work-life balance, democratic participation, and access and participation in leisure and cultural activities.
