The Long Point Region Source Protection Plan is being updated under Ontario’s Clean Water Act, 2006. As part of this process, the public is invited to review and comment on proposed changes that help protect municipal drinking water sources. The Plan has been in effect since July 1, 2016.

This comprehensive update, completed under Section 36 of the Act, incorporates new technical studies and revised policies that reflect current provincial requirements for identifying vulnerable areas and drinking water threats.

Starting November 10, 2025, the draft amended Plan will be available online at www.sourcewater.ca and in person at:

  • Grand River Conservation Authority: 400 Clyde Road, Cambridge
  • Oxford County: 21 Reeve Street, P.O. Box 1614, Woodstock
  • Norfolk County Planning Department: 12 Gilbertson Drive, Simcoe
  • Haldimand County: 53 Thorburn Street South, Cayuga
  • Municipality of Bayham: 56169 Heritage Line, PO Box 160, Straffordville
