2023 Road safety improvements

  • Electronic speed feedback signs will be installed at all four approaches into Bright: east and west ends of Oxford Road 8 (John Street), and at the north and south ends of Oxford Road 22 (Baird Street).
  • The 60 km/h speed zones at east and west ends of Oxford Road 8 will be changed to 50 km/hr.
  • The 50 km/h zone limit at the north end on Oxford Road 22 (Baird Street) will be adjusted to align with the village limits and limits of built up area.
  • Street lighting will be extended at north and south ends of Oxford Road 22 (Baird Street).
  • A Community Safety Zone will be implemented on Oxford Road 8 (John Street) in the vicinity of the recreational facility (ball diamond).
