Full Circle
As a child I was an avid user of the Otterville library during summer visits with my Nana. I loved the walks to the library, being met by the librarian who knew my Nana and so by extension, somehow also knew me. We would leave with a bag full of picture books and later on, chapter books. Now a couple of decades later, I have moved to the area and work for the Oxford County Library. On occasion I have worked at the Otterville branch and although it is now in a different building and I'm on the other side of the desk, it is the same welcoming and familiar environment. It is an honour to be a part of these communities under the title of librarian and to continue the legacy of past librarians by getting to know our patrons... and even some of their out-of-town family members.
